Another monochromatic black outfit.  This one ended up looking a little more gothic than my usual style, but it’s got to be one of my favorite looks of all time.  I found this sheer skirt in the lingerie section of Urban Outfitters, and immediately fell in love with it.  I’m always on the look out for ethereal maxi’s of any kind, and this one was so simple, yet unique.  I bought a black slip for $5 on Amazon to wear underneath it and managed to transform it from lingerie to a wearable skirt.  Looks like they aren’t selling it any longer at Urban Outfitters, but I found it on Poshmark for half off and linked it above. The top is my favorite structured crop top from Stylewe (in a previous post).

Thank you guys so much for all the birthday wishes!  My parents flew up to visit and we walked across the Golden Gate Bridge in the rain (it was actually pretty cool).

Hope you guys are having a wonderful week!

A slightly preppier look than usual. I immediately fell in love with this plaid skirt when I found it on Romwe, (especially because it’s only $12). It’s somehow classic and trendy all at once. I paired it with a black turtleneck crop top, and my nosebleed T.U.K. shoes to give the look a slightly edgier feel. I’ve also been wearing it with button down shirts and opaque black tights to the office for a more professional outfit.

More vintage denim.  I’m obsessed with this pair at the moment.  This is another pair of vintage Levi’s that I found at Slash in Berkeley.  I swear I could spend all day shopping there, their supply is endless.  I paired it with a very simple long sleeve black top and my favorite nosebleed platforms from T.U.K.  Looks like they don’t sell these particular shoes any more, but I’ve linked some equally awesome ones above.

Hope you guys are having a wonderful Saturday.  My fiance and I have been sick with the flue, so today was the first time I stepped out of my house in two days (insane right?)   I can’t tell you how happy I was just to get out and shop for groceries.

Anyways, let me know what you guys think in the comments 🙂

I wore the outfit a while ago (when it was a bit warmer in SF).  I fell in love with this dress when I found it on the Asos website.  Orange is not usually a color I gravitate towards, but there was something about this shade that  loved.  I paired it with and old belt, and a pair of platform mary-janes.

Let me know what you guys think in the comments!

Honestly I never saw myself buying a pair of patterned pants like these.  For the most part I like to stick to black/dark blue jeans or leggings.  My fiance convinced me to try them on when we were in a shop in San Diego.  I’d seen the trend recently, but I was positive I was going to hate them.  I was surprised to find that they were just about the most comfortable thing I’d ever worn (like pajama pants), and were surprisingly flattering.  Here I’ve paired it with a simple black crop top, but I’ve also been wearing them with plain over-sized t-shirts.  I wasn’t able to find the exact link to these pants, but I’ve linked some other ones above that I will probably be purchasing.

Today is the first day in San Francisco that it has ceased raining in at least a week, and I’ve forgotten how much I like the sun.  I’m looking forward to the three day weekend to shoot some new looks done and catch up on writing (I’ve started working on a new novel recently).

Let me know what you guys think of the outfit in the comments!

A fairly typical look for me.  I found this top and skirt at a Crossroads Thrift shop, I think the entire outfit cost about $10.  The skirt is a deep burgundy, which I am completely in obsessed with.  I love wearing a monochromatic black outfit with a pop of color, and burgundy is my current favorite.  The shoes are the usual: lug sole creepers.  I’ve probably been wearing them too much as of late, but they just seem to go with everything.

Yesterday my best friend and I went thrifting in Berkley and Oakland.  I’d been looking for a pair of vintage Levis for a while, but was having trouble finding the right fit.  My friend took me to a shop called Slash in Berkley (no website, but check out their instagram here).  I went completely crazy over this store, it has literally thousands of vintage Levis lining the walls from all different decades.  We searched through piles of denim to find my correct size and style, but I ended up with two new pairs that I am completely obsessed with.  This particular pair is a deep grey 501 style from the 80’s.  I paired it with a simple white tank top that I cropped myself and my Lug Sole Creepers.

Hope you guys are having a wonderful New Years Eve!

As you can most likely tell from these photos, I am not in San Francisco.  Kevin and I are currently visiting my parents in San Diego for the Holidays (where it is actually much colder than these photos would have you believe).

I’ve got a pretty extensive collection of crop tops, but even so I am always on the lookout for new ones.  This one from StyleWe became a fast favorite of mine because I love it’s-off the-shoulders look.  Most of my crop tops are often thin and flimsy (they are easy pieces to buy on budget), where as this one impressed me because it is thick and more structured , meaning that it will most likely last longer.  I paired it with this pink maxi skirt for a soft day time look.  I’m actually barefoot in these photos because i didn’t bring any sandals with me that worked very well with this look, in case you were wondering.

I didn’t actually realize how holiday themed this skirt looks when I picked it out, but it definitely fits the season.  I got this skirt from eshakti, a custom clothing shop.  Basically, you select the article of clothing you want, enter your height and measurements, then select the customizations (neckline, sleeves, length etc).  The awesome thing about this website, is that the clothing you order fits you to a T.

I paired it with a simple black long sleeved skirt and a pair of anklet flats.  This probably will be my Christmas Eve outfit.

In other news, Rogue One has been released, and it is phenomenal.  I worked on this film for about 7 months and it was so rewarding seeing my name in the credits.  Go see it if you haven’t already!

Disclaimer: I was given this product for free, but all opinions are my own.

Sweaters are one of my key staple pieces for the winter, and surprisingly I don’t often wear them on this blog.  So when Aran Sweaters Direct contacted me for a collaboration, I was pretty excited.  They are a high quality knitwear retailer from Ireland, usually made from wool, so their sweaters are extremely warm.  I went with a classic cream colored turtle neck and paired it with high waisted skinny jeans and mondo creepers for a very classic look.
